Army National Guard launches Blackhawk to assist in search operations near La Grande, Ore.
Pendleton, Ore. - One UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter from the Oregon Army National Guard departed the Army Aviation Support Facility #2 in Pendleton, Ore. at 9:15 a.m. today at the request of Union County Sheriff's office. They are currently on the scene of the search.
A hunter has been reported missing in the area of Morgan Lake, near La Grande, Ore. The hunter was last seen at approximately 8 p.m. last night.
Piloting the aircraft is Major Tom Lingle of Stayton, Ore., with 1st Lieutenant Damon Thornton as co-pilot.
