The Health Reform Initiative aims to reduce increasing health care costs by improving the quality of care people receive and improving the individual health of King County employees. The Health Reform Initiative includes a new benefit plan -- called Healthy Incentives℠ -- and provides case management, disease management, and outreach and education on how to Eat Smart, Move More and Quit Tobacco. Over 160 applications have been processed representing requests from EVERY King County department. Congratulations on sending those applications in. If you haven’t already, now is the time to spend those funds. All approved expenditures need to be received and billed before December 31, 2008. Healthy Workplace Funding Initiative funds are not allowed to be carried into 2009.
