Lucio, MLFTF Coordinator (225) 620-4561   Major Case Fugitive Surrender, Middle District of Louisiana   On 2/24/08, USMS Major Case fugitive Bobby Weatherton surrendered to authorities at the US Courthouse in Memphis, Tennessee. Weatherton was wanted by the Ascension Parish (Louisiana) Sheriff’s Office for Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Rape, and Aggravated Kidnapping. Weatherton was also wanted for violations of federal probation. The Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force, along with the PSWFTF-Los Angeles, SERFTF-Atlanta, W/LA and TOG, conducted an extensive investigation to locate Weatherton. Weatherton surrendered one year to the day that he committed a heinous, violent sexually assault on a female victim. According to the Memphis guard, Weatherton approached her, stated his name, and said that he had been on AMW and was tired of running. Weatherton is in custody awaiting return to Louisiana.
