St. Lucie County Florida Man Wanted for
Multiple Charges Against a Minor Arrested by U.S. Marshals |
|
Tampa, FL - A Crime Stoppers tip received
by U.S. Marshals in South Florida led to the arrest of Papouche Edmond in
Polk County yesterday. The U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force
(TBAFTF) received the tip information from South Florida that Edmond was in
the Tampa Bay Area. Further investigations led Deputy Marshals to believe
that Edmond was in Polk County Florida.
Papouche Edmond, 21 was wanted in South Florida on 5 warrants. The warrants
were for lewd battery on a child under 12, aggravated child abuse causing
great bodily harm, impregnating a minor, aggravated battery and tampering
with evidence. In this case, Edmond is accused of battering a girl under 12,
getting her pregnant and then forcing a home abortion on her, nearly
killing her.
On February 20, 2008 around 10:00am, the TBAFTF based on the combined
investigations of the U.S. Marshals in South Florida, the ST. Lucie County
Sheriff’s Office, and the US Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF)
were able to located and arrest Edmond in Polk County without incident.
The U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force is made up of Federal,
State and Local law enforcement officers. The members of the Task Force
combine resources and efforts daily to track down violent fugitives of
Justice in the Tampa Bay Area and Nation Wide through networking with Task
Forces across the country.
