THE LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE ARRESTS TERRENCE CHASE CRAFT
Late
Wednesday evening (July 25, 2007), the Lone Star Fugitive Task
Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western
District of Texas, arrested Terrence Chase Craft.
Craft committed the felony offenses of capital murder and attempted
murder in San Antonio on July 17, 2007.
On Tuesday July 24, 2007 the San
Antonio Police Department (SAPD)Gang Unit requested the assistance
of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in locating and arresting
Craft. Craft and two companions were arguing with two males in front
of an apartment in the 4800 block of Ray Bon. Several witnesses
stated that Craft and his companions pulled out guns and began
shooting at the two males. The victims tried to escape the rain of
bullets by running into the apartment. Craft and his companions
continued to shoot through the door and window of the apartment
killing both Raishun Slack and her unborn child. Raishun was four
months pregnant at the time of her death.
Task Force Members began the hunt for
Craft on Tuesday evening developing information that Craft was in
the northeast area of San Antonio. Task Force Members canvassed the
area Wednesday evening locating Craft in a residence on Midcrown.
Craft was arrested without incident by the Task Force Members and
the SAPD Gang Unit.
United States Marshal for the Western
District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “The Lone Star Fugitive
Task Force and its member agencies are dedicated to apprehending
individuals who choose to commit acts of violence especially those
who harm innocent people."
