LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE PARTNER AGENCIES ARREST A MAN CHARGED WITH EXPOSING HIMSELF TO A SCHOOL STUDENT

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio – Lone Star Fugitive Task Force partner agencies in San Antonio charge and arrest 22 year old Ernest Gonzales with the offense of Indecency with a Child/Exposure.

On April 10, 2007, a 15 year old student from Fox Tech High School was on her way home from school when this incident took place. The student had just exited a VIA bus when a man exposed himself to the young student. Detectives with the San Antonio Independent School District Police Department investigated the incident and obtained an arrest warrant for Gonzales.

On the evening of Wednesday, April 17, 2007, Plain Clothes Detectives with the San Antonio Police Department’s Repeat Offender Program (ROP) spotted Gonzales as he exited an apartment complex and got into his car. Other units were called in to assist in stopping Gonzales as he drove off in his car. Gonzales was stopped at the corner of San Pedro and Rector and taken into custody by the ROP Detectives at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “The protection of our students and children from predators is always first and foremost on our minds. This is best accomplished by combining the resources and cooperation of all law enforcement agencies.”
