THE LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE ANNOUNCES THE ARREST OF SUSPECT CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoWaco – On April 2, 2007, Juan Felan was arrested in Aransas County Texas by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force-Corpus Christi Division. Felan was wanted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on multiple counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force members in Waco determined that Felan had fled Waco in an attempt to avoid being arrested and he was tracked to a small community near Corpus Christi. This information was forwarded to the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and they conducted hours of surveillance until Felan was spotted.

On Monday April 2, Felan was seen at a targeted residence and taken in to custody. Felan will be returned to Waco in the near future to face his charges. This is a continuing investigation.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “When this fugitive made the decision to flee, he apparently didn’t take into account who would be chasing him.”

Participating agencies in this arrest:

  • Aransas County Sheriff’s Office
  • Waco Police Department
  • The United States Marshals Service sponsored Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force
