THE UNITED STATES MARSHALS SERVICE HELPS REUNITE ZEKE BROWN WITH HIS MOTHER

The United States Marshals Service is proud to announce that Zeke Brown is now reunited with his mother. His abductor, Will Brown is in custody in Mexico. The United States Marshals Service tracked Will Brown to Mexico City, Mexico to where he thought he was in safe hiding. The United States Marshals Service Mexico City Field Office has requested the Instituto Nacional de Migracion (INM) to review Will Brown’s immigration status in the Republic of Mexico. If it is determined Will Brown violated any immigration laws, he will be expelled back to the United States of America to face charges in the State of Georgia. Young Zeke was turned over to his mother, Lois Brown in Mexico City.

On January 31, 2007, William Larry Brown abducted 13 month old Ezekiel David Brown (Zeke). Zeke was taken from his mother in Evans, Georgia, by his non-custodial father, William Brown. Two weeks later, the car used in the abduction, a 2006 white Acura, was discovered in the parking lot of the Triple C Steak House, located at exit 122 on Interstate 35 South in Devine, Texas just south of San Antonio. The United States Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office (Georgia), Devine Police Department (Texas) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children began an intensive manhunt for Will Brown and the missing child.

After following up on numerous leads generated with the vital assistance of a concerned public, the United States Marshals Service learned that Will Brown was staying with friends in Mexico City. The Mexico City Field Office of the United States Marshals Service contacted the Procurador General de la Republica (PGR)/Interpol and the Instituto Nacional de Migracion (INM) who responded and located the missing child and Will Brown at the residence discovered by the United States Marshals Service.

United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins stated, “Young Zeke’s safe return to his loving mother is a result of the tireless efforts of local, state, federal, and Mexican law enforcement authorities working together. The community can be proud of the hard work done by all those involved in the relentless effort to return this child to his mother.”
