THE LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE ARRESTS ANTHONY SYLVE

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio – One of the New Orleans Police Department’s “Top 20 Priority Warrants” was arrested this morning at approximately 11:30am by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Anthony Sylve was wanted for aggravated assault and drug violations. Sylve had been living in the San Antonio area since Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region.

Yesterday the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas, received information from the Crescent Star Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Eastern District of Louisiana, that Sylve had recently been arrested in the San Antonio area for a DUI.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force tracked Sylve to the Trails of West apartment complex off of Marbach in San Antonio. Task Force members arrested Sylve without incident. According to the fugitive, FEMA had placed him in the apartment following the hurricane.

United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “As New Orleans continues to recover, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is happy to return the problems that Katrina blew into San Antonio."
