Man Wanted by Horry County and State Probation Apprehended

COLUMBIA, SC - Reggie Pinkney was apprehended on 04/17 in Chadbourne, NC by members of the Marshals’ Operation Intercept and deputy marshals from the Eastern District of North Carolina. Pinkney, 27, was the subject of an October 2005 Horry County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Trafficking Cocaine charge and a December 2005 warrant for a state Probation Violation. He was booked into the Columbus County (NC) Jail awaiting court proceedings.

Task force members, including deputy marshals and SLED agents, began looking for Pinkney on April 10 and were able to quickly track him to a residence on West Holland Street in Chadbourne. Pinkney was found hiding in a closet and was taken into custody without further incident. In addition to locating Pinkney, deputy marshals and task force members contacted the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office after observing quantities of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy. Over 500 grams of cocaine was seized along with smaller quantities of crack, marijuana and ecstasy. Additionally, over $29,000 in U.S. currency was seized. In announcing Pinkney’s arrest, United States Marshal Johnny Mack Brown said, “We were very pleased to locate Pinkney after he had been on the run for a year and a half and to seize such a large quantity of narcotics and cash.”
