Task Force Arrests Woman Suspected of
Homicide
On the evening of July 19th, 2007
members of the East Metro Fugitive Task Force (EMFTF) assisted by
officers from the Duluth, MN police department (DPD) and
investigators from Harvey, IL police department (HPD) arrested
Latrice Miller. Miller was wanted on a warrant from Cook County, IL
for a weapons violation. Miller was also wanted for questioning by
HPD for her involvement in a homicide in their city.
Based on information from members of the Great Lakes Regional
Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF), HPD detectives traveled to Minnesota
and met with EMFTF members in Duluth. EMFTF members developed
information Miller was in a house in the city of Duluth. EMFTF, DPD
and HPD detectives located Miller and arrested her without incident.
Miller was transported to DPD and interviewed by HPD detectives
about her involvement in the homicide.
Based on the information obtained by HPD detectives, a warrant was
issued for Miller over the weekend for Homicide. Miller is currently
pending extradition to Cook County Illinois for her warrants.
The EMFTF is sponsored by the U.S. Marshals in the District of
Minnesota. EMFTF includes officers from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s
office, Minnesota Department of Corrections, Housing and Urban
Development Office of the Inspector General, Minneapolis Police
Department, Hennepin County Parole and Probation and the Social
Security Office of the Inspector General.
