Adan Eliud Correa Sanchez, 24, of
Tallahassee, FL was wanted by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office on
two warrants for Sexual Assault and two warrants for Sexual Battery
stemming from incidents in 2004. Investigation by the Leon County
Sheriff’s Office led them to believe that Sanchez had fled to Mexico

Case information was forwarded by
task force personnel to the U.S. Marshals Mexico Field office
located in Mexico City, Mexico who began working the case along with
the Agencia Federal de Investigacion or AFI. On August 15, 2006
Sanchez was arrested in Cuidad Frontera, Coahuila, Mexico by AFI.
Sanchez has been in Jail in Mexico awaiting Extradition to the
United States since that time.
On July 24, 2007 Personnel from the
U.S. Marshal Service and Members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force
traveled to Mexico City, Mexico and picked up Sanchez and will
return to the United States on Wednesday July 25, 2007. It is
planned that Sanchez will be returned directly to Tallahassee, FL
and be booked into the Leon County Jail Wednesday evening.
“This case is another example of how
the resources of the U.S. Marshals including our International Field
Offices can assist local agencies with apprehending fleeing
fugitives wherever they may be in the world” stated Chief Deputy
U.S. Marshal Brian P. Nerney.
