Michigan Fugitive
Arrested in Crestview by U.S. Marshals Task Force
CRESTVIEW, FL -
The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force
apprehended wanted felon Christina Murphy Robbins this morning at
about 9 o’clock. Robbins, who absconded from Flint, Michigan about a
month ago had obtained a new Florida Drivers License and was living
on Lincoln Street in Crestview. The Marshals and Task Force members
from Okaloosa and Escambia County Sheriff’s Offices, Ft. Walton
Beach Police Department and Florida Department of Law Enforcement
caught up with a vehicle that Robbins was a passenger in and
arrested the 27 year old woman after a felony car stop at the
intersection of Highway 85 and Mirage Drive. Robbins was wanted in
Michigan for violating her state probation which was part of her
sentence from a 2004 conviction on charges of Involuntary
Manslaughter, Child Abuse and Perjury. Robbins, who was taken into
custody without incident, has a previous criminal history in
Okaloosa County and has lived there on and off in past years. There
were no local charges against her at the time of her arrest.
Robbins was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail as a Fugitive From
Justice and is currently being held there awaiting extradition back
to Michigan. |
