How to obtain copies:

                     Note:  Mail in requests may incur an additional $20.00 charge.


Documents On-Line:

King County Superior Court Records filed after November 1, 2004, are now available online for purchase and viewing. Currently we offer Criminal, Civil and Probate cases.  You CANNOT view Domestic (divorce) cases via the internet. The fee is $.10 per page and an account is required. To set up an account please follow the ECR ONLINE link at https://dja-ecreweb.metrokc.gov/ECROnline. Certified copies are not available online at this time. To obtain a certified copy of your documents please follow instructions for obtaining copies via in person or through the mail.

 

Documents In Person:

King County Superior Court Records are public documents except for sealed files and records. To obtain a copy of a Superior Court document, you may request the file in person during business hours (8:30-4:15, Monday through Friday). Self-Service copies cost $.15 each. Staff-made copies cost $.50 each. Microfilm & Scanned copies $.25 each.  Certified copies cost $5.00 for the first page of any document plus $1.00 for each additional page in the same document.

Through the Mail:

Submit a written mail request for certified copies of King County Superior Court documents (non-sealed documents only unless you present a court order and picture identification). Please provide:

1. Written request, specifying the documents you want returned to you.

2. Your name, address, and a daytime telephone number where we can contact you if we have questions.

3. A self-addressed, stamped envelope.
