Safety First!
Before visiting the SGP, you must submit a Site Access Request Form.
When visiting the site, you must attend a safety orientation given by the Site Safety Officer.
Environmental Safety and Health Documents
The Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) documents listed below are guidelines for both SGP visitors and employees. Before visiting the site, it is important to familiarize yourself with these policies and procedures. Transportation
The best way to get to the SGP site is by flying into the Tulsa, Oklahoma, airport. Another option is to fly into the Oklahoma City airport, but the travel distance is shorter from the Tulsa airport. A rental car will be needed to get from either airport to the site. The drive from Tulsa is about 2 hours, and the drive from Oklahoma City is about 2.5 hours. There is a dry-weather road and an all-weather road. A person traveling to the site will need to contact the Site Office at 580.388.4053 for current road conditions.

Ponca City has many restaurants that include variety menu, dinner house and club, pizza, and fast food. You will have no problem finding a place to eat in this town!

Shipping
The SGP site accepts Federal Express and UPS deliveries on a regular basis. Yellow Freight is usually used for larger shipments. The site has a small loading dock for these deliveries and a truck-mounted crane for help with the larger packages.
Before shipping items to the SGP, please fill out a SGP Site Shipping Form. Please see the table below for the shipping adress.
Security
The SGP site central facility has a Site Safety Officer (SSO), Site Security Officer (SSEO), and an Assigned Site Duty Officer (ASDO) who respond to any fire or security alarms that are activated. The Site Safety Officer accepts this responsibility during normal working hours and the Site Security Officer and Assigned Site Duty Officer accept the responsibility after normal working hours.
Each trailer located onsite has a fire and security system installed. The central facility is also enclosed in a chain-link fenced area with a gated entrance. This gate is locked after working hours.
Storage
There are four types of storage areas available at the SGP site:
- Outside Uncovered - 5000 sq. ft. (limited to minimize instrument impact)
- Outside Covered - 1000 sq. ft. (under raised decks and porches)
- Inside Not Climate Controlled - 200 sq. ft. (in the Seatainer)
- Inside Climate Controlled* - 1800 sq. ft. (double and single-wide trailers at IDP #4)
These storage areas are to be used for installing instruments or spare parts on instrument systems already installed at the site. The following describes the total square footage available for each storage option:
