Highlighting the accomplishments of outstanding media productions, the Omni Awards recognize those productions that engage, empower, and enlighten target audiences. These awards carry the distinction of being chosen by peers as an example of excellence. Patterned after the Emmy Awards, the Omni Awards use a panel of three peer professionals who individually judge each entry based on a standard set of criteria for each media type.
In 2008, the 2007 Recovery Month PSAs, "Celebrate" and "Cost," were awarded with a silver Omni in the Commercial category for PSAs, as well as a bronze Omni in the Government category.
2007 MarCom Creative Award
The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of marketing and communication programs for print, visual, and audio materials.
The 2007 Recovery Month Web site received a Gold MarCom award for overall Web site design. The Gold award is presented to entries judged as having exceeded the high standards of the industry norm. There were over 5,000 entries from the United States and several other countries. The MarCom Creative Awards gives winners the opportunity to demonstrate the high regard in which their work is held within the creative industry.
2007 Hermes Creative Awards
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials, programs, and emerging technologies.
The Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, web and free-lance professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
The 2006 CSAT PSAs "Labyrinth" and "New Morning" received two Hermes awards: a Platinum award for the TV PSAs and a Gold award for the Radio PSAs.
2007 Omni Awards
The Omni Awards recognize outstanding media productions that engage, empower, and enlighten target audiences. The award carries with it the distinction of being chosen by peers as an example of excellence. There are seven categories of production awards and a minimum of three judges score each entry.
The 2006 CSAT PSAs "Labyrinth" and "New Morning" received two Gold Omni awards: in the General Commercial category and in the General Government category.
2007 Pegasus Awards
The Pegasus Awards are in their fifth year of recognizing exemplary work produced by non-broadcast video professionals. Individuals, companies, and organizations from all over the United States have been honored through this prestigious competition.
The Pegasus Award of Honor was granted to the "Road to Recovery" episode: "The Addiction Treatment Workforce: Where We Are, Why We're Here, and Where We Need to Be" in the Government Health and Wellness category. This Webcast examined what the addiction treatment field is doing to encourage more people to enter the field and help those already there preserve their passion. The program also explored how new research and innovations are shaping the workforce.
2006 GALAXY Awards
The GALAXY Awards symbolize the assembly of numerous disciplines that create marketing excellence. The Awards honor the professionals who contribute to the process of building image, creating profit, and making a difference in the market place.
The competition is sponsored by MerComm, Inc., founded in 1987 with the principal purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of communications in an international arena. The organization strives to establish and promote high standards of individual and collective achievement by way of recognizing the multi-disciplines involved in professional communications.
The 2006 CSAT Recovery Month campaign received a Gold GALAXY Award in the Public Relations: Awareness Campaign - Multimedia category.
2006 Gold Aurora Award
The 2006 Road to Recovery webcast, Addiction & Family: Healing & Recovery received a Gold Award in the Social Issues/Report/Documentary category. The Aurora Awards is an independent film and video competition for commercials, cable programming, documentaries, industrial, instructional, and corporate videos.
2006 Silver Telly Award
The 2006 Road to Recovery webcast, The Addiction Treatment Workforce: Where We Are, Why We're Here, and Where We Need to Be received an award in the Health and Wellness category. We won the highest achievement of "Silver Telly" for our win! The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.
2006 Mercury Bronze Award
The 2006 Recovery Month public service announcements received a Bronze Mercury Award in the government public service category. The Mercury Awards are given by MerComm, Inc. which was founded in 1987 with the purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of communications in an international arena. MerComm strives to establish and promote high standards of individual and collective achievement by recognizing the multi-disciplines involved in professional communications. MerComm's award programs are now in their nineteenth year drawing over 3,900 entries from around the world. Their mission is to honor the individuals whose work has made an outstanding contribution to their organization, corporation, or client.

The Omni Intermedia Awards, owned and operated by Media Corp Inc., recognize outstanding media productions that engage, empower and enlighten. As a nationally known award competition, we have developed our reputation by only awarding those people who exemplify the highest standards of quality.
2006 Aesculapius Award of Excellence
The 2006 Recovery Month Web site won the Aesculapius Award of Excellence. This award is given for excellence in communicating health information to the public.
2006 Silver Inkwell Award
The 2006 Recovery Month Web site received a 2006 Silver Inkwell Award of Merit in the category of government
and military communications. The Silver Inkwell Award recognizes
outstanding achievements in 85 categories, including print, electronic,
visual, interactive and video communications, graphics design, writing,
new technologies, radio, television and communications planning,
and campaigns. Senior communicators and accredited communicators
serve as judges for the award.
2006 Freddie Award
The 2005 Recovery Month public service announcements, "Treat Me" and "Artist," were recognized with the bronze 2006 MediMedia
FREDDIE award in the public service announcements category. For the
past 32 years, the FREDDIE awards have showcased brilliance in the
health productions realm and have been a reflection of the advances
in consumer and professional health education and technology programming.
APEX Award of Excellence
The 2006 Recovery Month Web site has won an Apex Award of Excellence. Apex is an annual competition for writers,
editors, publications staff and business and nonprofit communicators,
sponsored by the Editors of Writing That Works, a division of Communications
Concepts, Inc. Apex awards are based on excellence in graphic design,
editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall
communications effectiveness and excellence.
2006 NAGC Gold Screen Award of Excellence
The 2005 Recovery Month Web site has won a Gold Screen Award of Excellence in the Web Site 1 category from
the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC). NAGC
awards underscore the association's high standards of professionalism
in public service. The Award of Excellence recognize government agencies
or individuals for significant achievement in their field.
2006 Communicator Award of Distinction
The 2006 Recovery Month Web site won the Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards. The Communicator
Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding
work in the communication field. Entries are judged by industry professionals
who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high
standard of excellence and provides a benchmark for the industry.
The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that exceed industry
standards in design or communication skills.
2005 Mercury Gold Award
The 2005 Recovery Month public service announcement, "Treat Me," received a Gold Mercury Award on January 26, 2006 for outstanding
achievement in communications in the government public service category.

Two Silver Omni Awards
"Treat Me," the 2005 Recovery Month television public service announcement was awarded two silver Omni Awards for
demonstrating excellence in production in the categories of Public
Service and Government. The Omni Intermedia Awards recognize the
accomplishments of outstanding media productions in a variety of
fields and are owned and operated by Media Corp Inc. Submissions
are judged by a panel of professionals from highly respected companies
and a board of advisors with expertise in that respective area evaluates
each area of the competition. Only submissions exhibiting the highest
level of production are recognized.
Two Bronze Omni Awards
Two 2005 Road to Recovery Webcast Series
shows, The Dangerous Frontiers of Substance Abuse: A Look at Alcohol
and Drug Use Trends and the Treatment Approaches for Women were awarded
Omni Bronze Awards. The Omni Awards recognize the accomplishments
of outstanding media production in a variety of fields. Each of
these fields are converging into an interactive, multi-level production
to create a high impact presentation. The Omni Award carries with
it the distinction of being chosen by your peers as an example of
excellence.
2005 Aesculapius Award of Excellence
Aesculapius Awards are named for the ancient
Greek god of healing. These awards are intended to encourage excellence
in health communications by challenging producers of health-related
PSAs and WWW sites to meet Aesculapius Awards standards and to enter
the annual Aesculapius Awards competition.
Marcom Gold Award
The Recovery Month Web site won a Marcom Gold award in the category of Electronic/Interactive Media. The mission
of the MarCom Creative Awards is to honor excellence and recognize
the creativity and hard work of marketing and communication professionals.
The MarCom Creative Awards gives winners the opportunity to show
that their work is highly regarded within the creative industry.
Winning a MarCom Creative Award gives recognition to the creative
talent, firms, departments and/or clients that collaborate on outstanding
marketing and communications projects.

The World Wide Web Health Awards is a program
that recognizes the best health-related Web sites for consumers and
professionals. The program is held twice a year - spring and fall
- with the goal of providing a "seal of quality" for electronic health

The Mercury Bronze Award was awarded to

Mercury Awards, 18th Annual International Competition Honoring Outstanding
Achievement in Professional Communications, honors individuals whose

The Recovery Month effort aims to promote the societal benefits of alcohol and drug use disorder treatment, laud the contributions of treatment providers and promote the message that recovery from alcohol and drug use disorders in all its forms is possible.
