General Overview

Welcome to the Southern Great Plains site, the U.S. Department of Energy's outdoor laboratory for atmospheric research in Kansas and Oklahoma. The SGP site was the first of three field sites established by the ARM Program in 1992. The ARM Program exemplifies teamwork and sharing of expertise and results among investigators from national laboratories, federal agencies, and academic institutions. For more information about the site, please view the ACRF Sites Fact Sheet (PDF, 321K).
