King County to open outdoor pools this weekend at Woodinville, Vashon Island

The King County Parks and Recreation Division will open its outdoor swimming pools near Woodinville and on Vashon Island for the summer season beginning this weekend. The Cottage Lake Pool, east of Woodinville, begins operation on Saturday, June 12. The Vashon Pool begins its first day of operation Sunday, June 13.

Both Pools will offer a wide variety of programs for the public, including American Red Cross swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, lap swimming, public swimming, family swimming, pool rentals and water exercise programs.

A discounted Summer Pass Program is available for families, youth, adults and senior citizens. Frequent users of the pools will save substantially with the purchase of a pass. Passes and other programs may be charged with both Visa and Mastercard.
