Dr. Harlan Krumholz of Yale, who chaired a panel that wrote a scientific advisory from the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology, says a flu shot might help people with heart disease keep the flu from making their heart disease worse:

"For people with heart disease, we're also preventing whatever else that illness causes that can be associated with making their heart disease worse, causing them potentially to be at risk for heart problems." (10 seconds)
