NEWS USAREUR advises personnel to avoid demonstrations HEIDELBERG, Germany (Jan. 8, 2009) — U.S. Army Europe officials are advising Soldiers, civilian employees, and Family members to be aware of, and avoid, demonstrations pertaining to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. Numerous demonstrations are scheduled to take place throughout Europe over the next several days. While no violence is currently anticipated, spontaneous violence can not be ruled out.
