What We Offer Veterans

The VA/Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) program mission is to provide realistic and meaningful vocational opportunities to veterans; encouraging successful reintegration into the community at the veterans' highest functional level.  To achieve this mission CWT staff endeavor to match an individual veteran's vocational strength and area of interest to work and employment opportunities with local businesses and industry.  The expectation of quality services demanded by all stakeholders to the CWT program helps create and maintain an atmosphere of success.

CWT values veterans and feels that each veteran with a physical or mental disability has rehabilitation potential, i.e. a maximum degree of self-sufficiency that can be attained through vocational and residential rehabilitation services that focus on strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences rather than illness and symptoms.

CWT programs develop an individual rehabilitation plan for each veteran.  Depending on the specific program location CWT provides a wide range of support services to the veteran.

These services include:

  1. Supported Employment and Follow-along Services
  2. Ongoing Situational Assessment
  3. Vocational Assistance; Counseling and Case Management
  4. Transitional Work Experience (temporary to permanent staffing)
  5. Sheltered Work Therapy (not available at all CWT program locations)
  6. CWT/Transitional Residence (residential rehabilitation program, not available at all CWT program locations)
