Chemical and Biological Recon Exercise
U.S. Marines of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s enhanced chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear team, look for a container holding a mock chemical/biological agent between the stowage of the ship's hangar bay, during a chemical/biological agent reconnaissance exercise on board the USS Essex, Nov. 14, 2006. The team conducted a three-day shipboard ECBRN training exercise focusing on the proper response measures and techniques for handling ECBRN-related scenarios for visit, board search and seizure missions on ships and other structures.
