Congressional Committees

These are the Congressional committees whose jurisdiction applies to the Employment and Training Administration budget and activities.


House of Representatives

Committee on Education and the Workforce
(formerly known as House Education and Labor Committee)

Appropriations Committee
Writes and approves bills which fund the activities of the U.S. Government.
The amounts of money which might be appropriated have already been determined by the Budget Committee.

Subcommittee: Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education

Budget Committee
Determines the amount of money to be raised and spent by the U.S. Government.


Senate

Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions
(formerly known as Labor and Human Services Committee)

Writes and approves bills which fund the activities of the U.S. Government.
