Ann feels like she is among friends
Ann Oullet
Ann Oullet
Ann has spent a number of years working as a pharmacy technician.  She was interested in switching careers due to the physical challenges of the job.  Ann came into the Clackamas County One Stop in search of alternative employment.

Ann was initially uncomfortable with the whole job search process, but the staff helped her with updating her resume, completing online applications and posting her resume on the Internet. The accessibility of computers, resume and interview classes, plus the free use of the Internet and faxing of resumes to employers impressed her. She also discovered that most of the jobs she was interested in were in Portland and she was not comfortable driving downtown.

Ann received career guidance, job referrals and encouragement from Margaret Detchon, One Stop Coordinator.  She was referred to Vocational Rehabilitation who did a skill assessment which highlighted her clerical abilities.

After posting her resume online, Ann was able to secure a temporary position with a finance company.  She's grateful for the WorkSource Oregon services and says she felt comfortable asking questions and knew she would get quick answers she could understand.  She still feels she is among friends.  In fact, she says “The One Stop staff is just plain wonderful.”
