When doing plant studies in Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park (W-GIPP), or in any other environment, it is important to emphasize minimum impact activity. When visiting W-GIPP, remember that plants may not be collected. Perhaps of more concern is the impact that plant gathering might have on Native American values and resources. These concerns have been raised by tribal advisers. As one tribal adviser passionately pointed out, "Non-indians simply have no concept of how important these plants are to native peoples.
