IMPORTANT NOTICES

Meds by Mail Patients - We Need Your Information
Are you a Meds by Mail (MbM) participant? If so, have you updated your information recently? Did you know that MbM requires certain information in order to process and fill your prescription? Without the correct information, your request may not be processed, delaying the receipt of your medication. Each time you submit a prescription to your MbM Servicing Center in Cheyenne, WY or Dublin, GA you should include the following:
  • MbM Order Form (10-0426)
    • Name, address, date of birth (DOB), last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN), and all prescription information.
  • MbM Patient Profile Form (10-0426a)
    • Name, address, date of birth (DOB), and any allergies or health conditions.
You can access the forms by visiting: http://www.va.gov/hac/forms/forms.asp or by calling 1-800-733-8387.

Denied Claims
Do you need help to reprocess a denied claim? The HAC has recently created a new service to provide additional guidance on how to respond to a claim denial. This information focuses on our 10 most frequent used denial codes. If you have the Explanation of benefits (EOB) form available, you can reference the denial code on the form to get detailed instruction about how to respond to the claim denial. We also offer an e-mail address where you may submit questions on our less common claims denial codes. Click here to go to the denied claims page.

Fraud Alert!
The Department of Veterans Affairs has reported that the "Patient Care Group" is conducting a scam operation against veterans who receive VA prescriptions. Callers claiming to be representatives of this group tell veterans that their prescriptions are being administered by the company. They then ask for credit card information so that the veterans can continue to receive their medications. VA officials said that the department has made no change to its prescription system, and that veterans should not provide any information to callers from this group.
