Messy mutt? Wash Spot, a self-serve dog cleaning business, opens in Marymoor Park

Dog owners from throughout the region know that King County’s Marymoor Park has the finest off-leash area around

Now, thanks to the opening of the Wash Spot self-serve dog cleaning business adjacent the off-leash area, your pooch will look perfect after a day in the park.

Wash Spot offers herbal and hypoallergenic shampoos especially formulated for dogs. They’ve also developed a patent-pending soaping system that easily dispenses the shampoo and warm water onto the dog’s coat and rinses clean. Wash Spot’s seven cleaning tubs are at waist height and feature ramps leading up to the tubs, so heavy dogs don’t have to be lifted.

The price for the eight-minute “Spot Wash” is $8.75; the 14-minute “Max Wash” is $13.50. Prices include shampoo and dryers. Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card are all accepted; cash is not accepted.

Wash Spot is throwing a grand-opening party on Sunday, May 18, with special prices of $5 for the “Spot Wash” and $7 for the “Max Wash.” Proceeds from the opening day will be used to purchase pet food for the animals of food bank patrons.

Wash Spot is located between main parking lot and the pea patch near the off-leash area. The business is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; business hours will expand as daylight grows longer.
