The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has issued updated recommendations for prostate cancer screening

  • Screening is not recommended for men > 75 years (Grade "D" recommendation).
  • The USPSTF found insufficient evidence to recommend for or against screening in men < 75 years ("I" statement).

The complete Recommendation and Rationale statement and Evidence Review is available at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality website and are also published in the August 5th issue of Annals of Internal Medicine.
