The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Arrests Waco Man on 7 Separate Charges of Indecency with a Child
 
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 51 year old Ruben Vela in San Antonio late Thursday night.

Ruben Vela was captured Thursday night at a home in the Five Palms Area of San Antonio by LSFTF members and San Antonio Police Department Officers to include Repeat Offenders Program (ROP) Detectives and Patrol Officers. Vela was the target of an investigation by the Waco Police Department (The Waco Police Department is a member of the LSFTF in the Waco Division.) Investigators with the Waco Police Department developed an address for their suspect in San Antonio and utilized their reach through the Waco Division of the LSFTF to capture Vela. Vela is charged with 7 separate warrants of Indecency with a Child. Vela is also being investigated to see if there are more victims.

Vela was arrested without incident. Vela’s roommate stated Vela had been staying in San Antonio for the last month or so. Vela is currently being held at the Bexar County Jail and will be extradited back to Waco unless he is given a bond.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said “When a crime is committed against a child, we are even more committed to tracking the suspects down and arresting them.”
