2003
About 125 persons convened at the Hampton Inn Tropicana, Las Vegas, Nevada, for the 18th annual meeting, May 5-8, 2003. The theme "Cashing In On Lessons Learned," reflected the need to apply lessons learned in addressing some of the long-standing and complex emergency preparedness issues across the complex.

2002
About 140 persons convened at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Charleston, S.C., for the 17th annual meeting, May 6-9, 2002. The theme of the meeting, "The New World of Emergency Management: Beyond Design Basis," reflected the changed way we do business following the September 11 World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks. 

2001
About 100 persons convened at the Downtown Holiday Inn in Denver, Colo., for the 16th annual meeting, April 30 – May 3, 2001. The theme, "Policy, Plans, Performance: Closing the Circle," focused on the need to close the loop consisting of policies established by the DOE, solid plans and procedures, and performance to effectively address complexwide emergency management issues.
