The Guide assists DOE/NNSA field elements and operating contractors in incorporating hazardous biological agents/toxins into emergency management programs, as required by DOE O 151.1C. - DOE G 151.1-1A - Emergency Management Fundamentals and the Operational Emergency Base
The Guide provides information about the emergency management fundamentals imbedded in the requirements of DOE O 151.1C, as well as acceptable methods of meeting the requirements for the Operational Emergency Base Program, which ensures that all DOE facilities have effective capabilities for all emergency response.
Emergency Management Update
The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) used Emergency Management Updates as one way of maintaining communications with the emergency management community at the DOE/NNSA sites and facilities. These updates are issued periodically on emergency management topics of interest.
Emergency Management Program Accreditation Guide
The EMI SIG-developed draft Emergency Management Program Accreditation Guide (pdf) is now available for informal review and comment. Comments on the draft should be sent to Dave Freshwater by e-mail at david.e.freshwater@nnsa.doe.gov.
The next step in establishing an accreditation program is to conduct a pilot test at a volunteer site. Volunteers for the pilot should contact:
