October 16, 2006 HP-137 Secretary Paulson to Kick Off Treasury, Bankers’ Nationwide Effort to Teach Teens Good Credit Habits U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Jr., 12 Treasury officials and bankers across the country will team up Thursday to promote wise credit habits for U.S. teens as part of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation's annual Get Smart About Credit Day. Secretary Paulson will invite students from McLean High School to the Treasury Department for a lesson on using credit cards and the importance of a positive credit history, as other Treasury officials travel to schools nationwide to teach classes with local bankers.
