GIPSA Official Designation Activities

 
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 29, 2008) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) announces the following actions on designations to officially inspect and weigh grain in specified areas in Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. The following entities were designated to inspect and weigh grains based upon a comprehensive selection process.

 
  • GIPSA has designated the Maryland Department of Agriculture (Maryland) to inspect or inspect and weigh grain effective June 1, 2008, through June 30, 2010.
  • GIPSA has amended the designated geographic area for D. R. Schaal Agency, Inc. (Schaal) to include the States of New Jersey and New York, except those export ports served by GIPSA.
