Environmental Public Health Tracking
Client: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) system, funded by $17.5 billion from Congress, integrates data about environmental hazards and exposures with data on diseases that may be linked to the environment.
The system is available to federal, state, and local public health departments. These agencies can use the information to plan public health strategies that will prevent and control environmentally related diseases.
ORISE is assisting in:
- Developing communication products, including online learning modules
- Developing an electronic library and providing ongoing electronic information resources for the public and for EPHT grantees
- Participating in the Program Marketing and Outreach Committee and its subgroups
- Facilitating monthly Webinar broadcasts
- Serving on and facilitating the Training Committee
- Participating in the HELIX-Atlanta outreach committee, including HELIX Web page content
- Participating in the Environmental Justice (EJ) subgroup, which will include a needs assessment for delivering training sessions on information access to EJ resources and materials
- Distributing EPHT communication products
