Resources for Information and Locating Cancer Clinical Trials

For more information, you may contact the many National Cancer Institute's (NCI) resources that contain materials for patients and their families, health professionals, and the general public. The NCI's Cancer Information Service (CIS) at 1-800-4-CANCER (TTY: 1-800-332-8615) provides up-to-date information on cancer and has further details about the agreement. The Clinical Trials section of the NCI Web site (http://www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials ) has information on understanding trials, deciding whether to participate in clinical trials, a step-by-step guide to finding specific trials, news in cancer research, advances in cancer care, and resources on and off the web.   VA Health Care Providers who do not have internet access can call the CIS as above or the PDQ Search Service at 1-800-345-3300 to help in locating trials at VA Medical Centers.
