GLOBE Welcomes Ecuadoran Students!
The GLOBE Program is pleased to announce that Ecuador is becoming a GLOBE
country on Earth Day, April 22, 1996. Ecuadoran Minister of Education Dr. Roberto Passailaigue Baquerizo and U.S. Ambassador Peter Romero are signing the agreement at the Ministry of Education. Corporacion Oikos, an environmental NGO focusing on educational activities, will work closely with the Government of Ecuador to help implement GLOBE in schools. Ten schools will kick-off GLOBE activities in Ecuador.
