Welcome to the ITS home page. ITS, or Intelligent Transportation Systems, is organized under the Office of Maintenance and Operations. The ITS unit has the primary task of implementing devices that help improve traffic safety and mobility through the use of technology. The devices that we have installed around the state collect data for the following: road and weather conditions, vehicular speed and volume, congestion, etc. The incoming data is ultimately made available to the public via the internet, telephone, and radio to help keep motorists informed.
