What are marine mammals?
Marine mammals are mammals that mainly live in the ocean or depend on the ocean for food. This means, the marine mammals are vertebrate animals that breath air, females give live birth and produce milk to feed the young, have hair or fur, and are warm-blooded. There are five groups of marine mammals: 1.manatee, dugong, and sea cow; 2. polar bear; 3. pinniped - seal, sea lion, and walrus; 4. sea otter; and 5. cetacean - whale, dolphin, and porpoise.
