DMCC
The DOE Meteorological Coordinating Council (DMCC) works to coordinate meteorological programs at all DOE/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) sites. Its objectives include promoting cost-effective, meteorological support programs; facilitating the use of common methods, procedures, and standards; and planning for future needs, requirements, and missions. The DMCC was chartered in December 1994 and its membership includes representation from every DOE/NNSA site with an operational meteorological program. In April 2004, the DMCC program was integrated with other programs associated with the Emergency Management Issues Special Interest Group (EMI SIG) under the oversight of, and with sponsorship from, the DOE Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

The DMCC website provides a detailed overview of the objectives and methods used by the council, the key action items being addressed by the council, links to DOE meteorological websites and site-based atmospheric science research programs, reports on recent DMCC meetings and conferences, DMCC contact information and a list of the council’s members, links to selected publications, and highlights from DMCC teleconferences.
