Rotational Experience Opportunities:
Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Ambulatory Care, Intensive Care, Pediatric, OB/GYN, Pharmacy Administration/P&T where emphasis is placed on drug policy development, formulary management, and medication use evaluation.

The pharmacy resident will provide proficient patient care through direct interaction with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal drug therapy outcomes.  He/She will be responsible for promoting safe and effective drug usage by educating other healthcare professionals, patients, and the community on drug therapy-related topics.  He/She will demonstrate maturity by developing a personal philosophy of practice and exhibiting commitment to the profession. 

The residency program will be involved in performing rotational, extended, and longitudinal care.  In addition to the clinical aspects of pharmacy, the program will also give experience to the administrative side which includes P&T involvement and performance improvement projects.  He/She will also be trained in diabetes education and anticoagulation clinic.

Special Features:
Tuba City is located on the western part of the Navajo Reservation approximately 70 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona. It is a small town of 8,000 people. Tuba City is a small town but with many opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural experiences and friendship with fascinating and adventurous people.  Camping, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, white water rafting and kayaking are all available and very popular among Tuba City employees.  The geologic wonders of the Colorado plateau nearby include the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks, and Lake Powell.
