Release Memo for Form 1065/1065-B Schemas and Business Rules, Versions 2007v3.2 and 2006v2.7

We are pleased to post the following updated schemas and Business Rules for Forms 1065 and 1065-B on the www.irs.gov website at the Current Valid XML Schemas for 1065 Modernized e-File page:

• 2007v3.2 for Tax Year (TY) 2007
• 2006v2.7 for Tax Year (TY) 2006

XML Schemas
The above schemas include all tax forms and schedules for Forms 1065 and 1065-B and are posted to the Productions and Assurance Testing System (ATS) charts on the page listed above.  They will be available in ATS on 2/11/2008 and in Production on 3/03/2008.

Business Rules
We’ve posted the updated Business Rules for Forms 1065 and 1065-B (2007v3.2 for TY2007 and 2006v2.7 for TY2006) in two different formats containing identical information – Adobe (.pdf), and Comma Separated File (.csv). Business rules are found at the website shown above.

Form 7004
The schemas for Form 7004 are posted under Current Valid XML Schemas for 1120/1120S Modernized e-File. Changes are displayed in the “Diff Files”. 

Special Note
The ATS Start Date for TY2007v3.1 has been changed to January 21, 2008.
