May 9, 2008 # ======================== NOTICE ======================================= Since May 1, 2008 periods of instrument noise began appearing in the Thule Neutron Monitor data. The problem is being investigated. # ======================================================================== Thule Neutron Monitor Data Lists Thule Neutron Monitor lists for 1-minute and 5-minute data. Data is sent from Thule in near real-time. Records are received every 5-15 minutes with data 5 minutes before current time. Conversion Factor: SWPC Counts/minute * 6.0755 = Counts/Hour/100 This gives values that agree with the Thule Real-time Data in Counts/Hour/100 at http://www.bartol.udel.edu/realtime/thule.html NO QUALITY control has been performed. This data SHOULD NOT be used for scientific research. Preliminary data with basic quality checks, and Final Thule Neutron Monitor data (plus other stations) is available online at Bartol Research Institue, University of Delware http://www.bartol.udel.edu/~neutronm/ Other real-time Neutron Monitor data available at http://neutronmonitor.ta3.sk The file format follows the SWPC standard data list conventions where header lines start with either # or :. Daily files are named with the UT day of the data. They are online for 90 The file with no date contains data for the last 2-hours. Users retrieving data frequently can copy these shorter files. The 1-min data lists update every minute. The 5-min lists every five minutes beginning at minute 3. ****************************************************************** ** Please read the SWPC Disclaimer at http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/ ** ****************************************************************** SWPC provides near-real-time and recent data, solar and geomagnetic indices and solar event reports created from preliminary reports.
