The Asset Management and Valuation Division is responsible for the formulation of asset strategies, policy, guidance, training, and tools.
The Asset Management and Valuation Division provides the following services to its customers:
Develops real property asset management policy.
Provides interpretation or guidance on the policy.
Establishes implementing instructions, tools, and conducts training.
Provides program oversight and ensures consistent implementation.
Leads and facilitates implementation of national portfolio strategies to ensure that properties generate sufficient income to meet their own capital reinvestment needs.
Reinvests, invests, disposes, divests, exchanges and/or conducts buyouts as appropriate.
Oversees the appraisal of PBS’s owned inventory for asset valuation purposes.
Acquire asset Fair Market Value and Functional Replacement Value.
Provides direction and oversight in consideration of assets for disposal.
Develops and publishes rent-pricing policies for owned and leased space consistent with OMB and congressional direction.
