July 19, 2006: Meteorologists Alan Campbell and Ashley Wester spoke to 14 area teachers about meteorology and what products and services we provide at the National Weather Service, specifically for schools. July 19, 2006: Meteorologists Alan Campbell and Ashley Wester spoke to 30 students ranging from 4th to 7th grades about severe weather safety and tropical cyclone formation and dangers. The camp was designed for children affected by disaster. Most of the children were victims of Hurricane Katrina. After the talk, we opened up the floor for discussion to hear the children's stories about Katrina.
