Advisory Council Overview
This organization is the Government Research and Electronic Services (GRES) Advisory Council (hereafter referred to as “the Council”). The Council is established in the bylaws of the Oregon State Library Board of Trustees. The Council is established to advise the staff of the GRES Program of the Oregon State Library. The Council will provide insight, consultation, and advice on strategies for better serving the information and research needs of Oregon state government agencies. The Council will also assist GRES staff in creating effective strategies and programs to inform state employees about GRES services and to train state employees in the use of these services.

Upcoming meetings
The next Council meeting will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2008 starting at 9 am at the Oregon State Library, Salem.
