Notice Number: NOT-HL-08-100
Key Dates
Release Date: August 14, 2007
Issued by
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) (www.nhlbi.nih.gov)
The purpose of this Notice is to announce additional receipt deadlines for requests to the NHLBI DNA Resequencing and Genotyping (RS&G) Service for resequencing or genotyping of candidate genomic regions potentially important in the disease pathways of heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders. Investigators now can submit their requests four times a year: August 1, November 1, February 1, and May 1.
The NHLBI established the RS&G Service to assist ongoing investigations of the genetic components involved in the cause, variable outcome, and progression of heart, lung, blood, and sleep diseases and disorders. The RS&G Service currently is limited to human specimens and is not accepting requests for genome wide association studies. Requests are evaluated based on their relevance to heart, lung, blood and sleep diseases and disorders; feasibility; adequacy of the size and power; the data sharing plan; and evidence that the investigators have the expertise and resources to utilize the data. The services are provided at no cost to qualifying investigators.
For more information about the NHLBI RS&G Service and the application process, visit the website at http://RSnG.nhlbi.nih.gov.
