New WDA Patient Education publication available, Wilson Disease: Maintaining a Successful Treatment Plan
Published in March, 2008, this 8 1/2" x 11", 32 page publication includes the topics: Medical Care, Medications, Diet and Nutrition, Special Circumstances, and Family Concerns and Genetics. Also included is a glossary of medical terms, a glossary of genetic terms, and a printed copy of the "Wilson Disease Patient Lab Tracker". To access the drug, please follow the directions
below (all instructions come with the form):
To
request any SAP products (Special Access Programme), the doctor needs to fill
out the SAP form available here, found on Health Canada’s
website, and fax it to them. Within days, Health Canada will fax us
(the distributor, Valeo Pharma Inc.), a letter of authorization and we will ship the
order to the address provided. SAP products are shipped directly to the doctor’s
office or hospital pharmacies.
Cuprimine Available in Canada
The WDA is pleased to report that Cuprimine is now readily available in Canada through pharmacies and being marketed regularly, as before.
