National Park Foundation Leadership Summit
on Partnership and Philanthropy
October 14-16, 2007
Austin, Texas
Building the Next Century of Our Parks
The National Park Foundation Leadership Summit on Partnership and Philanthropy is an historic, invitation-only convening of the best minds working in park partnerships and philanthropy. Hosted with the University of Texas at Austin, the Leadership Summit has the benefit of the involvement and environment of one of the nation’s great universities.
The Leadership Summit helps the National Park Foundation in its mandate as the Congressionally-chartered nonprofit partner of the National Park Service to raise awareness of park philanthropy and facilitate and enable charitable activity for parks throughout the country. As we look ahead to 2016, the Leadership Summit creates a strategic forum to galvanize support for the National Parks Centennial Initiative and Campaign.
The two-and-a-half day program is educational, interactive and rich in dialogue that will draw on the expertise of leaders from across disciplines—business, philanthropy, science, education, and the parks—to share new ideas and explore transformative strategies for supporting parks in the 21st century. The agenda is built around a series of solution-oriented discussions that will bring together representatives from these diverse constituencies for unique, breakthrough collaborations.
