The Governance Group
has hired two
Community Work Incentive
Coordinators (CWIC)
to
provide training and work closely with already
established community networks. Capacity building
and training will be
key roles, in addition to
service and outreach.
Iowa WIPA Vision:

Develop a Network of Professionals who
will have a basic understanding of SSA's vision and
purpose with work incentives.

Network of professionals
will provide information to Social Security
Beneficiaries across Iowa.
Network of Professionals
will act as
"Benefits Liaisons"
This
network will be trained by the CWICs and will include professionals in employment
services, case management, rehabilitation programs,
advocacy organizations and SSA Employment Networks.
This network will strengthen the overall customer
service efforts in benefits management through
connections to benefits planning services offered by IWIPA staff and other benefit planners supported by Iowa
agencies.
