This page contains information on waivers granted to various States under the Secretary of Labor's general waiver authority contained in the Department of Labor Appropriations Acts of 1997 through 1999 (Pub. L. Nos. 104-208, 105-78 and 105-277, respectively). These authorities were each for a period of one year, and permitted the Secretary to waive certain statutory and regulatory requirements of the Job Training Partnership Act of 1982, as amended, and the Wagner-Peyser Act. This authority, and the waiver granted thereunder, expired as of June 30, 2000. This site is being maintained as a historical data base of waiver actions granted to the various States, including the States requests, the Secretary's waiver actions, the disposition of all waivers requested, and State waiver summary tables.
